    • THE DOUBLORIGENES PARK: A HAVEN OF CREATIVITY AND RELAXATION IN SAINT-VINCENT-JALMOUTIERS

The Parc des Doublorigènes, located in Saint-Vincent-Jalmoutiers in Périgord Vert, is a unique space dedicated to art, leisure and nature.

This atypical garden, once a simple family orchard, has been transformed into a place where creativity and relaxation meet harmoniously.

      A natural and artistic setting

The Parc des Doublorigènes extends over an old orchard, today transformed into a space where sculptures and vegetation mingle. The park is home to a wide diversity of trees and plants, offering visitors a green and calming setting. The wooden sculptures, made by Dominique Auguste Perez, add an artistic dimension to this outdoor walk. The works, often zoomorphic or anthropomorphic, demonstrate the creativity and humor of the sculptor.

      Activities for all ages

The Parc des Doublorigènes offers a multitude of activities suitable for all ages. Children and adults alike can have fun with the wooden games set up in the shade of the trees. These games, inspired by old models or invented on site, allow you to develop skill and thinking while having fun.

The most curious can go in search of hidden sculptures thanks to the photo safari, a captivating observation game. The park also has a unique mechanical ride, completely redone in 2023, with new creatures imagined by the sculptor.

Stroll and laze around in complete peace and quiet

The Parc des Doublorigènes is a true sanctuary for lovers of strolling and nonchalance. Comfortable armchairs and shaded corners invite you to relax, read or simply contemplate the surrounding nature. Those who prefer observation can indulge in identifying plants, birds or insects in absolute calm.

      Courses and activities

The Parc des Doublorigènes regularly organizes artistic workshops and activities for visitors. During the summer months, circus and stone sculpture courses are offered. These activities are supervised by professionals and are aimed at all levels, from beginners to experienced.

Children will be able to take part in circus initiations, while adults can sign up for sculpture or watercolor courses. The courses include the necessary equipment and offer a unique opportunity to develop your artistic skills in an inspiring setting.

      Observe and learn

The Parc des Doublorigènes is also a place of learning and discovery. Visitors can watch demonstrations by the sculptor, who often works on site. The tales and stories told by Dominique Auguste Perez add a narrative and poetic dimension to the visit. Inquisitive minds will be able to learn more about sculpture techniques and the history of the works on display.

This was a lovely little find. We were the only people there and spent a couple of hours there. We should have taken a picnic but didn’t expect to be there that long. The owner was lovely, showed us how to play all the old fashioned game. Our 3.5 year old twins loved discovering all the little figures and playing the games.

Enchanted place. Our almost two year old was entranced by all the curiosities, games and hidden corners. We spent an hour and a half there, but should have allowed far longer. Great value for money and the owner/creator and his staff were so welcoming. What a find!

This has something for everyone: the sculptures are great and fun; there's lots of games to play and places to chill. All topped off with maze to get lost in! There's even a small hut to get a drink and snack! Perfect.
