- ©You'll need to make just a small detour to discover the medieval city of Belvès and one of the miraculously preserved ruins that bears witness to a once tumultuous past, the Troglodyte Cave Dwellings. Unique in the Dordogne, at these caves right in the middle of the village you will learn about the daily lives of the peasants who inhabited them from the 13th to 18th centuries. During a 45 minute guided tour of the interior of 8 dwellings, you will be captivated by the history of this place and its occupants. Tour runs with 4 people minimum, 18 people maximum. Groups by reservation. Open all year.
