    • Château Hugon located at the top of the "pech" (the hill), almost at the gates of Bergerac, is a tiny property of barely more than 4 hectares. The Cousy family has been cultivating these vines there for several generations but the real revival dates from the early 1990's.

It was in 2007 that Sébastien Cousy took over the operation, still supported by his father Bernard, with the firm intention of positioning it at the highest level of the appellation. The advances and challenges in the vineyard and in the cellar have been beneficial. This is why their 2009 vintage deserves to be highlighted.

Here the fleshy and juicy Merlot grape variety is complemented by the solid Cabernets while a hint of Malbec supports the structure. Everything is beautifully extracted to the core then aged, smoothed and tactfully patinated in noble wood for a year.

      AGREEMENTS :

      • The moment of sharing. His favorite seasons? fall, winter and spring. To be discovered or rediscovered.
      • Which alliances to choose?

Carried by a beautiful velvety structure, finely wooded, this wine will go without flinching with meats in sauce, duck in many forms, furred game such as hare, wild boar, simmered or roasted lamb, Cantal type cheeses. old or Saint-Nectaire...

      • When and how to highlight it?

Its constitution will allow it to evolve favorably over ten years. A decanter for half an hour beforehand will be beneficial. Serve around 17°C
