Naturellement Périgord Tourist Office - two tourist reception offices, in Excideuil and Lanouaille.

A territory of 28 communes in the north-east of the department, specializing in outdoor activities!

In an enchanting natural setting, composed of wild rivers and gorges, forests and causses, more than 500 km of marked hikes delight all hikers, whether on foot, mountain bike or horseback. Here we practice whitewater kayaking, climbing on natural rocks, gold panning, caving, fishing, wakeboarding and the treetop adventure course at the Rouffiac leisure center, and geocaching with seven Terra Aventura loops...

On the heritage side, you will travel back in time to the iron industry along the Auvézère with the Vaux paper mill in Payzac and the Savignac-Lédrier forge. You will be surprised by the astonishing city of Clairvivre, a town in the countryside, where the utopian architecture of the 1930s rubs shoulders with the farms and fields of Périgord - classified as a Country of Art and History and holder of the Remarkable Contemporary Architecture label. And in Excideuil, a small town of character, you have a date with the medieval history of Richard the Lionheart and Giraut de Bornelh, one of the greatest Troubadours according to Dante.
