    • DISCOVER THE ANDRÉVIAS FARM IN SORGES, IN THE GREEN PÉRIGORD

      A traditional farm

Ferme Andrévias, nestled in Sorges in the Périgord Vert, is a true institution perpetuating ancestral agricultural traditions.

Spanning an area of 24 hectares dedicated mainly to the cultivation of cornwheat and barley, as well as 10 hectares devoted to the cultivation of walnut trees, it embodies the very essence of Périgord agriculture.

The passion for geese and nuts

Albin Meynard, heir to this family farm passed down over three generations, has instilled his passion for geese and walnuts into every plot of the farm.

Geese breeding constitutes one of the pillars of this activity, where the birds are welcomed from their first day to be raised with care in the vast green meadows until the age of four months.

      A history rich in traditions

The history of Ferme Andrévias goes back several decades, when Marguerite, Albin's grandmother, started breeding geese, followed by her son Guy and his wife Isabelle.

Gradually, the farm specialized in the production of fat geese, while diversifying its activities with the cultivation of walnut trees, reaching up to 10 hectares.

      A harmonious complementarity

The symbiosis between geese breeding and walnut cultivation perfectly illustrates the vision of the Meynard family.

The geese, enjoying the grass under the foliage of the walnut trees, contribute to the natural maintenance of the orchards while providing valuable organic fertilizer.

This complementarity between the two emblematic productions of Périgord gives Ferme Andrévias a unique identity.

      Respectful agricultural practices

Concerned about preserving its environment and guaranteeing the quality of its products, Ferme Andrévias favors respectful agricultural practices.

From the cultivation of cereals to feed the geese to agroforestry promoting the development of herds, each stage of production is orchestrated with respect for nature and traditions.

      The transmission of ancestral know-how

Beyond its agricultural activity, Ferme Andrévias stands out for its commitment to transmitting ancestral know-how.

Guided tours are offered throughout the year, allowing visitors to delve into the heart of Périgord agricultural traditions and discover the secrets of manufacturing farm products.

      An invitation to discovery

Whether you are passionate about traditional agriculture or simply eager to discover the treasures of Périgord, Ferme Andrévias opens its doors to you for an authentic and enriching experience.

Come and taste the timeless charm of the Périgord countryside and let yourself be seduced by the unique flavors of its farm products, symbols of an exceptional terroir.

A privileged stopover for France Passion motorhome owners

La Ferme Andrévias also offers a privileged stopover for motorhome owners who are members of France Passion, welcomed all year round in a shaded setting under the majestic walnut trees.

With a capacity of 5 motorhomes, visitors can enjoy a well-deserved rest in the heart of the Périgord countryside.

Although the farm does not have an emptying point, a practical solution is available in the village of Sorges, located just 500 meters away, thus ensuring the comfort and tranquility of travelers.

Whether it is a simple stopover or an extended stay, Ferme Andrévias offers a warm welcome and total immersion in the authenticity of the terroir.
