    • Canoe trip on the Dordogne, in the Valley of the Dordogne Castles with Couleurs Périgord

A descent on the river, punctuated by castles, green landscapes, pretty villages perched or on the side of the cliff, does that tempt you? Come and rent a canoe or a kayak at Couleurs Périgord to enjoy the most beautiful panoramas of Périgord, from the Dordogne river. In ride mode, you can descend at your own pace, on this river which shows a calm and gentle face in summer. Let yourself glide quietly along the water, with family or friends. Pack a picnic and take a break on one of the many beaches along the banks of the river. You will be able to swim, rest, sunbathe, just enjoy!

Couleurs Périgord is a rental structure based in Vézac. You can rent canoes or kayaks there. You will be transported to your starting point upstream, which gives you the opportunity to descend at your own pace on the waves. The team will advise you, you will benefit from an initiation before setting sail and a waterproof container will be lent to you for your personal effects. Children can participate from 5 years old (you must know how to swim) accompanied by a parent and 14 years old independently.

A good idea: Do you like unusual experiences? Couleurs Périgord organizes initiations to caving, a good idea to discover the hidden side of Périgord. Kids love it, adults too!

Perfect location for the campsite we stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful. All equipment was adequate and the prices were competitive. We had a brilliant day canoeing from Carsac to Vezac. A total of 22km. A stop for coffee, one for lunch and another for ice cream made for a relaxing day on the river.

A great day on the river. Perfectly adequate prep by le proprietor. The river a bit low on water, and we slightly grounded the canoe in a couple of places, but is harmless & adds to the interest. Go on guys, have a gentle adventure! Paul

An excellent day spent on the Dordogne in a pair of Kayaks. Intended to take around 2.5 hrs, we stopped on a shingle beach for a picnic and had lots of other fun on the way. The Couplers staff take you an appropriate distance upstream leaving you to paddle back down to their base with the aid of the current, passing several beautiful views on the way.
