Café Couleur, a coffee shop with healthy and sustainable products!
Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Café Couleur welcomes you for a little hunger, a gourmet break, a work meeting in a cozy setting or even a meal on site or to take away!
Café Couleur lives up to its name... that of the new coffee shop located in the Périgueux business district, just behind the station. It offers an ethical mode of operation, in a reasoned and inventive approach to a restoration in keeping with the times: local products, second-hand decorative objects in a decor mixing industrial with wood and reclaimed goods.
Everything is homemade, the fresh produce is processed on site and the welcome is warm and family-friendly!
Daily specials, salads, original sandwiches, pastries and gourmet drinks are on the menu of this small independent café.
Ethical values
Attached to their values and the choice of people with whom they work, they have chosen to partner with as many small Perigord producers as possible. Their commitment is also on a more global level: “We believe that it is also up to us, as restaurateurs, to act and participate, on our scale, in the changes on our planet.”
Local products
Whether it is trout from the Boissonnie mill in Douzillac, or from the Clairière farm in Cornille, seasonal vegetables from local producers, or character bread from the Truchassout bakery located in Coulounieix-Chamiers, Managers Nils and Elinor are committed to offering varied and appetizing plates and sandwiches every day thanks to the fifteen producers with whom they work.
As for the cheesecakes, cookies, carrot cakes, brookies and other treats (it is possible to order superb birthday or celebration cakes!), they are just delicious and obviously homemade!
The menu is also full of tempting offerings: Café Latte, Cappuccino, Chemex, Milkshake, Smoothies, and many other specialties to discover!...The coffee is also intended to be exceptional, it is only organic or sustainable specialty coffee from Layac in Vitrac in the Dordogne.
Concerning tea, Elinor and Nils also chose 3 small family farms, one of which, Monteaco, located in the north of Thailand, a three-hour walk from any road. Their reasoned and ethical culture convinced them to work together, at the same time making it possible to support small producers.
"These are values that we share. We are very happy to work in conjunction with all these small producers."
A coffee shop with artistic projects
It is also through art that the desire to partner with local artists was manifested. At the back of Café Couleur, a vast wall space allows painters, photographers, illustrators to present their works.

Café Couleur is in the new business district of Périgueux, just a 2-minute walk from
the station thanks to the new footbridge and less than 15 minutes on foot from the city center.
