    • NOMMAD'S RESTAURANT: NOMAD CUISINE IN THE HEART OF GREEN PÉRIGORD

Located in the picturesque medieval village of Bourdeilles , in the heart of the Périgord Vert, Restaurant Nommad's is a unique culinary destination, a few kilometers from Brantôme, the "Venice of Périgord".

This restaurant stands out for its innovative approach, which skillfully blends local traditions with inspirations from around the world. The peaceful setting of Bourdeilles, with its historic alleyways and iconic castle, provides the ideal backdrop for this unique gastronomic experience.

      A revisited world cuisine

Nommad's Restaurant offers fusion cuisine, where local products are enhanced by exotic techniques and flavors.

On the menu, varied dishes invite guests to a real taste tour of the world. Among the specialties, revisited ceviche rubs shoulders with leek makis in citrus sauce, offering a touch of originality while respecting quality ingredients. Périgord is also in the spotlight with dishes such as duck breast with hibiscus juice or crispy duck with Asian flavors.

Asian influences are omnipresent, with dishes like Vietnamese Bo Bun or Indian tikka masala, while South American flavors are represented by ceviche. Each plate is a true work of art, where the balance between spices and herbs is meticulously worked. Foie gras , emblematic of Périgord, is adorned with seaweed for a unique version, while buckwheat crème brûlée offers a smooth end to the meal, with a touch of the land.

      A gourmet and friendly table

Nommad's is not just a place to eat, it is a space for meeting and sharing. The restaurant room is designed as a small art gallery, where the works of the owner, Jérôme Fabre, a passionate watercolorist, adorn the walls. These paintings, often centered on humans and elsewhere, bring an artistic dimension to the culinary experience. Visitors can thus enjoy their meal while appreciating the visual creations, creating a warm and inspiring atmosphere.

In summer, the terrace of Nommad's, shaded by large lime trees and located at the foot of the church, becomes a privileged place to enjoy an outdoor meal. Guests can taste carefully selected local wines, while enjoying the tranquility of the village. Homemade infusions and creative cocktails complete the offer, inviting you to relax and discover new flavors.

      Discoveries around Bourdeilles

Near the Restaurant Nommad's, visitors can extend their getaway by exploring the riches of the Périgord Vert. Less than 30 kilometers away, Brantôme, nicknamed the "Venice of Périgord", is an unmissable stop with its Benedictine abbey and boat trips on the Dronne.

Hiking enthusiasts can venture onto the trails that wind through the surrounding forests and hills, offering breathtaking views of the rolling landscapes of the Périgord.

Local markets, such as the one in Thiviers, renowned for its local produce, are an invitation to discover the authentic flavours of the region. Small producers offer goat cheese, nuts and of course, the famous foie gras of Périgord. For those who prefer more contemplative activities, a visit to the Villars caves, with their prehistoric paintings, offers a fascinating journey through time.

In conclusion, the Restaurant Nommad's in Bourdeilles is much more than just a table: it is an open door to a world of flavors, art and discoveries. An essential gourmet stop for anyone exploring the treasures of the Périgord Vert.

We visited here tonight and was everything we had hoped for and more. The service was both friendly and attentive and the food exceptional. The passion for food from the owners is clearly displayed in the quality of the food and exquisite flavours. If you are in the area you must visit and will not be disappointed. However I would advise to reserve in advance. Thank you for a great experience Mike and Linda - we will return next year

We arrived at the Hotel Les Griffons mid afternoon. The manager told us that their restaurant was closed that evening but she would try and get us in to the Nommad - Bistro A Bourdeilles. When she got through later she told us that although the restaurant was full for the evening they had managed to find us a table for two, which was perfect. It was a lovely evening and the sunset left a beautiful glow on the adjacent building which made for a perfect setting for our meal. The waiter was extremely polite and helpful in our food choices. The food was served promptly after we had had an aperitif. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Nommad’s - Bistro A Bourdeilles.

Surprise! I was afraid I had booked into a classic tourist trap restaurant in this tourist filled village just behind the castle and church. Instead what a surprise! Impeccable outdoor service. They set up an "umbrella" for us to stay comfortable and cool in the shade. Surprisingly "fusion" cuisine of the good Colombian chef, if we understood correctly. Dishes and wines that are remembered, Waiting for the right amount of time between one course and another. I confess that the spectacular sunset has added an extra note of magic. If you are in the area: don't miss it!
