A big disappointment where to start… Exorbitant bill: €100 for 2 with just 2 glasses of wine!!! We didn't expect that At first a good impression: friendly welcome, view of the garden and arrival of appetizers. But when you taste it, it starts to tickle: hot petits fours served cold and frankly without interest. Very little choice of wine by the glass (Bergerac) which looked like piquette for €5 and the waiter serves it to you without refinement and puts drops all over the cloth tablecloth… not very professional and several serving so why run? ! The starters arrive: sliced salmon marinated with citrus fruits and foie gras with figs (with extra that I hadn't seen, since only one menu for 2) The salmon was very disgusting despite the little condiments around it and the very rococo plates. The foie gras was not bad, but way too much!! We don't serve it like a slice of pâté from the butcher's!? It would have been better to put half as much on the plate and eliminate the extra... not to mention that you are almost thrown on the table a vulgar slice of stale bread (yes) that has been toasted for a while and elastic; and even changing the slices of bread, frankly not great for an extra €6 when other restaurants at this price give you a homemade brioche or a fig bread to know several… Surprisingly the dishes arrive just after the starters even though there are people in the restaurant!? And for good reason some of the foods in our dishes were cold and had to wait on the pass once again: - scallop risotto with parmesan (€10 supplement although it seemed to me it was €6): the shrimp fritter was inedible, tasteless and unmistakable, making you wonder if it was of the day really! The risotto was frankly not well seasoned and overcooked (I make it at home and it is much better but in a restaurant of this standing you expect something good right?!) and I am still looking for the parmesan. The scallops were good but not seared enough and the small vegetables were bland and uninteresting. - candied pork belly 12 p.m.: nothing to eat, only fat and very disgusting, clearly nothing for a man to eat and these edible flowers in poor condition which are coming back... but keep it simple and good without any tricks which are not really useful to nothing. Quite disgusting, we have to move on to the dessert which we were obliged to order at the start of the meal, whereas when the plate arrives visually we can still see that they remained on the past in view of the textures and when tasting this is confirmed . Really inedible with dark green or red flakes which have no taste and spoil the tasting. The strawberry dessert was very disgusting with 2 pieces of faded strawberries and an ice cream with no indefinable taste. I didn't even touch it. The shortbread underneath was faded like the rest and the peanut butter that holds the shortbread was tasteless. As for the lemon ginger dessert, we didn't find any flavor and the sort of whipped cream that spread had a very unpleasant fermented taste with the edible flowers still in poor condition. All this for the wretched sum of €100 wow, super excited, we're going to eat pâtés for a week!! Seriously EVERYTHING needs to be reviewed by the chefs: think of the customers who work to treat themselves to relaxing meals and taste your dishes, reduce the quantities and especially the prices!! For customers: I recommend L’ESCAPADE DES SENS in Thiviers, further away of course, but so much better and cheaper!! A young semi-gastronomic chef. who worked for Mr Ducasse and Philippe Redon! Without bling bling and with quantities neither too much nor too little, because frankly at this price go eat at CHARBONNEL in Brantôme you will get value for your money and above all you will be able to walk around to properly digest the beautiful ticket that you spent at the sweat from your brow!

Fun, well presented dishes, artisan in look and feel. Onion veloute with bacon lardons, followed by veal (very over cooked when I requested pink) and seasonal vegetables. Pudding was a marshmallow...
