    • CAPELO RESTAURANT IN PÉRIGUEUX: A GASTRONOMIC IMMERSION INTO THE SOUL OF PÉRIGOURD

      A gastronomic initiatory journey

Angel Morales, after honing his craft at Le Vieux Logis in Trémolat and gaining valuable experience at Le Centenaire in Les Eyzies, chose Australia to expand his culinary horizons. It was there, in a French patisserie called La Renaissance, that Angel honed his skills. Back in his native Dordogne, he made his dream come true at the age of 23 by opening the Capélo restaurant. The name, which resonates like a family heirloom, is the affectionate nickname of Angel’s grandfather, a passionate duck farmer.

      CULINARY EXCELLENCE: A DUCK STORY

      Love and duck

Capélo invites its guests to dive into the heart of Périgord gastronomy. The soul of the restaurant lies in its passion for duck, the region's emblematic ingredient. The Chef, heir to a lineage dedicated to breeding this noble bird, brings a personal touch to each culinary creation, uniting tradition and innovation. The quest for culinary perfection involves the meticulous selection of quality local ingredients. Capélo sources its ingredients from local producers, thus contributing to the vitality of the regional economy and guaranteeing the freshness and authenticity of each dish. Guests can be assured that each bite is an immersion in the authentic flavors of the Dordogne. Each visit is an invitation to an exceptional culinary journey, where the passion for cuisine and tradition is felt in the plates.

      A SCALABLE AND CREATIVE MAP

      Fresh and local products

The menu, a true showcase of the Chef's art, changes every three months to offer an ever-renewed experience and thus follow the seasonality of the products. Indeed, the freshness of the ingredients is a priority: carefully selected from local producers to guarantee the authenticity of each dish. Every week, a menu is also created by the chef where you can find emblematic dishes of French gastronomy. This changes every Friday. Each visit thus becomes an opportunity to discover today's bistronomic cuisine.

      LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY

      City center of Périgueux

Nestled in the heart of Périgueux , Capélo is the ideal place for a gastronomic getaway. In an elegant and refined setting, each guest feels at home. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, whether for an intimate meal, a business lunch or a special celebration. The outdoor terrace offers a pleasant break in the heart of city life, a corner of tranquility, taking the time to breathe and savor the moment. The possibility of privatizing the room for personal or professional events adds a unique dimension to the establishment. The dedicated team is there to make every moment enjoyable. Easy access, with parking spaces nearby, makes this restaurant a practical and welcoming choice.

Wonderful all-duck set menu lunch! Fantastic value for the quality and serving portions. Loved the poached foie gras (first time experience).

Wonderful hidden gem. Not only did they open specifically to welcome our group of 24 people on a Sunday (their day off) but the food was exquisite. Dishes around ducks! We highly recommend this restaurant.
