The bastide of Villefranche du Périgord is one of the oldest in the region. It is full of charm and history.

      A bit of history

Villefranche du Périgord was founded in 1261 by Guillaume de Bagneux. Its checkerboard plan, typical of bastides, and its yellow stone houses are witnesses of this period.

Two young people who take care of one person, and us who did not have the right to a hello...non-existent welcome. To be reviewed urgently.

Ugh... The regional products sold by this OT are 10 to 20% more expensive than at the grocery store-hardware store next door. Very average welcome, instead of telling us that the few local products came from a village nearby, it would have been more professional to tell us that the producer's shop with its entire range was open until 5 p.m. Lack of information on the part of this employee of the OT, it is regrettable both for us and for the producer from whom we would undoubtedly have purchased other products ☹️
