Visit the site of the discovery of the world's most famous prehistoric man, Cro-Magnon.
On the authentic place where the first burial of modern man was discovered, Cro-Magnon, in 1868 :
• The museum of CRO-MAGNON shelter offers the public new ways to interact with our ancestors and to (re) discover our history.
• A holographic film, touch tablets, an immersive scenography, a wooded course on the top of the cliff are some of the astonishing installations that you will discover at CRO-MAGNON shelter.
Newly fitted out, the CRO-MAGNON Shelter is a monument classified as a World Heritage Site. After 2 years of work, it is now open to the public, protected and saved for future generations.
The scenographic layout of the CRO-MAGNON Shelter was designed as a real playful and interactive learning journey to meet our ancestor.
