    • HOTEL L'ABBAYE: A HAVEN OF PEACE IN THE HEART OF THE BLACK PÉRIGORD

In the heart of Saint-Cyprien, a charming village nestled in the Périgord Noir, the Hôtel l'Abbaye stands out for its peaceful atmosphere and historic setting.

This establishment, housed in a completely renovated 18th century building, offers a unique experience where elegance blends with old-world charm.

Ideally located in the golden triangle of the valley of castles and prehistory, this hotel is the perfect starting point for exploring the treasures of the Périgord Noir.

      An elegant and refined setting

The Hôtel l'Abbaye welcomes its guests in a setting that harmoniously combines old-world charm and modern comfort.

The decoration, both refined and elegant, creates an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and well-being. Each element of the hotel has been carefully designed to offer visitors a real moment of tranquility. The hotel's 22 rooms are divided into different categories: 15 charming rooms, 4 exceptional rooms and 3 suites, offering a total capacity of 50 people.

The hotel's three reception rooms, each with a distinct ambiance, are ideal for organizing private or professional events. They open onto a landscaped park of more than 2000 m², where visitors can stroll and enjoy the surrounding calm. The swimming pool, perched on the heights of the village and sheltered from view, offers a perfect relaxation area to cool off and enjoy the sun in complete tranquility.

A space for conviviality and sharing

The Abbey Bar , located in the oldest room of the building, is a place full of conviviality . With its original beams, its majestic fireplace and its cantou, this bar is the heart of the hotel. Here, visitors can meet around the games table , taste a calvados , a whisky , or a carefully selected rum , or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation by the fire. The warm and authentic atmosphere of this space invites relaxation and exchanges.

For those looking for a moment of calm, the reading room at the Hôtel l'Abbaye is a true cocoon of tranquility. This place, dedicated to reading and relaxation, offers a selection of books and vinyls, for a journey out of time. The absence of screens in this space allows guests to disconnect and fully enjoy the present moment.

      Outdoor spaces conducive to relaxation

The Hôtel l'Abbaye benefits from vast outdoor spaces, offering a breathtaking view of the village of Saint-Cyprien.

The hanging terraces, lined with century-old lime trees, are ideal places to extend your days outdoors. In the evening, the soft light of the guinguette garlands and the crackling of the brazier create a soft and intimate atmosphere, ideal for an aperitif or a meal under the trees.

Everything has been designed to allow guests to fully enjoy the outdoors. Whether it's an iced tea in the shade of the trees or an al fresco dinner, the hotel staff makes sure to meet the visitors' every desire.

Discovering the treasures of the Périgord Noir

Around Saint-Cyprien, visitors to the Hôtel l'Abbaye can discover a multitude of activities and sites of interest.

Hiking enthusiasts will be delighted by the many trails that crisscross the region, offering exceptional panoramas of the landscapes of the Périgord Noir.

Less than 30 kilometers away, the Dordogne Valley and its emblematic castles, such as Beynac and Castelnaud, are a must-see for history enthusiasts.

Local markets, such as the one in Sarlat, offer an immersion in the gastronomic traditions of the Périgord, with their stalls overflowing with local products: foie gras, truffles, walnuts and porcini mushrooms. Small producers in the region also offer tours of their farms, allowing you to discover artisanal production methods and taste authentic products.

For lovers of prehistory, the caves of Lascaux and Font-de-Gaume, both located nearby, are major sites not to be missed. Finally, for a more peaceful activity, a canoe trip on the Dordogne or the Vézère offers another point of view on the magnificent landscapes of the region.

By staying at the Hôtel l'Abbaye, each visitor enjoys a unique experience, where the comfort and authenticity of the place blend with the natural and cultural riches of the Périgord Noir.

Charming hotel with a lovely family who made us feel completely at home. They opened the swimming pool for us and prepared a quick snack in the afternoon when ee arrived. Good supper and breakfast. We will come back when we are next in the dordogne. Strongly recommended.

Awesome hotel - what a great find! This recently opened hotel was just perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, gorgeous hotel in a sleepy French town (but a town with all the amenities you need; Weekly market, great bakery, good array of shops, pubs and restaurants with very pretty architecture). The hotel itself is magic - the owners were delightful and nothing was ever too much trouble. It is the perfect place to chill by the pool and enjoy evening drinks on the terrace. Make sure you have dinner in the hotel as the food is excellent - far better and way less crowded than any restaurant in nearby Sarlat! Great value for money, clean and comfortable bedrooms. Will definitely be recommending this place.
