The Prehistogite, located in Saint-Geniès 15 minutes from the Vézère Valley and Sarlat, offers the rental of 4 spacious cottages, for 2 to 4 people. These accommodations seem classic from the outside, in a beautiful natural environment, with a swimming pool and a Spa / Jacuzzi, but go inside to discover a real prehistoric atmosphere ! Decorated with cave paintings similar to those of the Lascaux Caves, you will be in a real cavity… The walls are coated and then painted with great care and skill to immerse you in an unusual world…

The lodgings are all 4 equipped with double beds (3 also have additional sofa beds to accommodate up to 4 people), nestled in skilfully painted alcoves. The furniture is in line with the place: wooden furniture, animal skins and draperies on the floor... it's cosy, pleasant, cocooning and quite the Périgord atmosphere ! You have never slept in a place like this. The only difference with the dwellings of our ancestors is the comfort, because here everything is modern, practical and clean. Wifi, television, bathroom and toilet, wardrobe, everything is there for a great stay.

Don't feel like cooking? Le Préhistogite invites you to order (24 hours in advance) one of the 3 menus that the owners have put together with local products. Delicacies selected from local producers so that you can enjoy your rental and dine or have lunch on delicious dishes without going out!

After a day of sightseeing, come and relax in the Prehistogite swimming pool, it is open in summer and all year round, you can enjoy the pleasures of hot water in the Jacuzzi / Spa. The cottages are located in Saint-Geniès, a pretty village in the Périgord Noir, very well located and with lots of character. You will appreciate the stone houses and slate roofs, the quality Sunday market with many producers and shops... And the proximity of the Vézère Valley, the Lascaux Caves and charming villages like Saint-Amand-de-Coly, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Les Eyzies and further on Le Bugue, Limeuil. In the other direction, you will go to Sarlat 15 minutes away then the Dordogne Valley just a little further, its castles, gardens, visits, its barge or canoe/kayak rides.
