Prieuré Saint Michel Nature and swimming pool at the top of Périgord

Welcome to the Saint Michel priory!

Built from the year 1023, it sits at the top of Mont Saint-Michel, at an altitude of 292 metres. 360° panoramic view with the Massif Central on the horizon!

Surrounded by woods and meadows, this agri-tourism site is gradually regaining its agricultural vocation (livestock, poultry, vegetable garden and orchard) . The forests are teeming with deer, stags and wild boars. Not a modern building in sight! Open all year round, the priory has five rooms for 2 people. The garden is freely accessible. Free WIFI. Very good mobile network.

The swimming pool (10 x 5 m) was tiled in 2020. It is surrounded by a fence. The bedrooms are simple and have all been renovated and are located upstairs.

The bathrooms are large and equipped with a shower and a sink. The toilets are separate (three on the floor) . The five bedrooms are separated by two living rooms. These are two living spaces to meet up and eat on the go. A fridge and a microwave are available to tourists.

In total, the site has a capacity of 12 people. Groups can be accommodated.
Catering available on request (all dishes are prepared using produce from the garden and farmyard) .

By charging moderate prices (from €60 per night, breakfast included) , we want to make this priory accessible to a wide audience, as eclectic as possible!

On the breakfast menu : yogurt, jams, compotes, madeleines, shortbread, homemade pancakes.

When planning your stay, cycling enthusiasts can rent electric mountain bikes or mountain bikes before they leave by contacting FEELOUT in Excideuil ( www.feelout.fr). The cycle shop rents, repairs and maintains bicycles. Pablot, a state-certified MCF instructor, also organises guided bike rides to discover the Périgord. The Prieuré Saint Michel collaborates with Nomad Cheval, organizer of 7-day/6-night equestrian trips in Périgord www.nomadcheval.com. THE Riders on treks stay there and eat their meals while their horses spend their nights in the meadow.
