    • CAMPING DU BOURNAT*** IN BUGUE: MOBILE HOMES AND PITCHES IN THE HEART OF THE BLACK PÉRIGORD

The Camping du Bournat (3 stars) is located in Le Bugue, in the Périgord Noir, close to the region's major tourist sites such as Sarlat, Lascaux, and Les Eyzies.

Nestled in a green setting, this three-star establishment offers holidays surrounded by nature, in a peaceful and shaded environment, ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

      Comfortable accommodation

Camping du Bournat offers a wide range of accommodation to meet everyone's expectations. Holidaymakers can choose from 54 fully equipped mobile homes, designed to accommodate between 4 and 8 people.

These accommodations include spacious bedrooms, a private bathroom, and a functional kitchen.

Each mobile home also has a terrace, ideal for enjoying the mild evenings of the Périgord Noir.

Some models are equipped with air conditioning for optimal comfort, particularly in summer.

For those who prefer traditional camping, the site also offers 109 spacious and demarcated bare pitches for setting up tents, caravans or motorhomes. These pitches are close to the campsite's amenities while offering total immersion in the surrounding nature.

      Leisure and relaxation areas

Camping du Bournat provides several leisure facilities for the whole family.

Three swimming pools, one of which is covered and heated, allow you to cool off and relax.

Younger guests will enjoy the water games, while adults can enjoy the deckchairs for a moment of relaxation. The campsite also has six pétanque courts, a basketball court, ping-pong tables, as well as a children's playground.

In summer, themed evenings and entertainment are regularly organized, offering friendly moments to share with family or friends.

      Practical amenities

Camping du Bournat benefits from an advantageous geographical location, just 900 meters from the center of Le Bugue, a lively and commercial village.

Visitors will find many shops nearby, as well as restaurants offering the specialties of the Périgord Noir.

The campsite also has a snack bar where you can enjoy a quick meal or a drink on the terrace.

Direct access to the Parc du Bournat

One of the great assets of Camping du Bournat is its direct and privileged access to Parc du Bournat, a unique theme park dedicated to rural life in 1900.

This park offers an immersion in the past through reconstructions of old-fashioned trades, period rides, and craft demonstrations.

Campsite guests enjoy unlimited access to the park, with no queues, making it a must-see outing for young and old alike.

Direct access to the Vézère Green Route

Camping du Bournat has direct access to the Voie Verte de la Vézère, a 60 km long cycle route which crosses the valley following the course of the river.

This route connects several emblematic villages of the Périgord Noir, such as Limeuil, Les Eyzies, Montignac-Lascaux, and Coly-Saint-Amand.

Alternating between safe roads and country paths, the Voie Verte is ideal for family bike rides or for the more athletic.

It also allows you to join other VéloRoutes, offering possibilities for exploration towards the Dordogne valley and beyond, as far as Sarlat or the Flow Vélo towards Charentes.

      Discoveries around the Bournat Campsite

Camping du Bournat is ideally located for exploring the treasures of the Périgord Noir.

Within 30 kilometers, several emblematic sites are accessible. Hiking enthusiasts will appreciate the trails along the Vézère Valley, offering varied and preserved landscapes. Prehistory enthusiasts can explore the famous Lascaux caves , the archaeological sites of Les Eyzies, or even La Roque Saint-Christophe, an impressive troglodyte city.

Listed villages such as Limeuil and Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, with their charming alleyways and stone houses, are also worth a visit. Market lovers can head to Le Bugue or Le Buisson-de-Cadouin to discover local produce, including the famous foie gras and truffles of Périgord.

Finally, for water activities, the Vézère and the Dordogne offer possibilities for canoe trips or fishing.

Camping du Bournat is an excellent starting point for exploring the natural and cultural riches of the Périgord Noir, while enjoying a comfortable and friendly stay.

Can't recomend this place enough, spotless facilities, great pitches with shade and amazing staff. Our camper broke down while we there and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. When our camper broke down they fixed us up with a chalet, made phone calls, translated for us and even gave us a lift to the station when we had to fly home. A massive help during what was a very stressful time. Thanks again to you all you are amazing.

We loved it's location about 900m walk from the centre of the town. We visited late October but hear that next year 2023 it will close much earlier 😟. The park was quiet and children free(Blissful) and we had the swimming pools almost to ourselves. Just the interior one would have been adequate for the low season clientellle. . The staff were jolly and helpful Prices and facilities moderate. Plenty of attractions in nearby town and area.

Second time around in this camping. Clean, good service, great people and nice location, especially if you plan to go to the Bournat park. Only downside might be some of the staff at the restaurant who really need to consider changing career. A little smile and extra service does go a long way, rather than having a go at my 8 yr old daughter because she pulled a chair from a table next to us to sit on even though no one was sitting there and the table was booked for hours later. Service means making a plan and finding solutions.
