Although we have no experience with renting a canoe we still have a bad experience with the people working for the company (those who are collecting and returning the canoes back to the starting point). While sitting with some friends (10 persons in total including a baby of 7 months) under a bridge at what apparently the end point of the cano trip seemed to be. 2 of those employees rudely told the 2 wife's who where still sitting under the bridge with the kids and sleeping baby while the dad's where fishing to move their stuff because apparently the spot where we were sitting was reserved for them although nowhere a sign / note or whatever kind of information was available that the spot was reserved for them. After using Google translate to tell them the ladies would move their stuff and gently wake up the baby they got angry, started to throw the canoes right behind them in an attempt to wake up the baby and provoke something. After this had occurred the drove their car with high speed backwards straight behind the kids and missed them only with 5 centimeter. They told the wife's and kids that they were just tourists and almost got physical. I hope that the owner of this company can speak to his employees about this behavior because this behavior is unacceptable. If the owner or employees offer an apology to the ladies and kids through this review I will gladly remove this negative review but in any other case I will definitely copy this text to multiple trip advisors so anyone know how the employees of canoe randonnee dordogne behave to tourists.

We had so much fun on the river in the 22km paddling trip. This was doable for us, even with kids age 8 and 10. We counted at least 200 other canoes in the water, so don't expect to make this trip on your own.
