    • The charming village of Bourdeilles is located in the Périgord Vert. It is best known for its castles, its green landscapes and its peaceful atmosphere.


      A bit of history

      Bourdeilles was one of the four baronies of Périgord, testifying to its historical importance. The castles of Bourdeilles, built on a rocky spur, offer breathtaking views of the Dronne Valley. Their architecture mixes medieval and Renaissance styles. Today they house a museum and temporary exhibitions.


      What to see and do in Bourdeilles?

      • Visit the castles of Bourdeilles to discover their history and remarkable architecture.
      • Take a walk near the seigneurial mill, a 17th century building, located on the Dronne islet.
      • Cross the Gothic stone bridge which overlooks the Dronne and offers a picturesque view of the village.
      • Stroll through the cobbled streets and discover the stone houses typical of Périgord.
      • Explore the surroundings of Bourdeilles, notably the Brantôme Abbey, a jewel of Romanesque art.
