      A bit of history

Founded in the 11th century by Arnaud Daniel, a famous troubadour, Ribérac has a rich history. It was marked by Norman invasions and saw the construction of fortifications as well as the foundation of a priory in the 9th century.

What to see and do in Ribérac?

      • The historic center : stroll through the cobbled streets and admire the half-timbered houses typical of Périgord.
      • The church of Saint-Martin de Ribérac : this 12th century religious building is a must-see in the town.
      • The Grand Étang de la Jemaye : for nature lovers, this pond offers numerous water activities and beautiful walks.
