Around Nontron, in Champs-Romain, the Saud du Chalard is a charming waterfall in the heart of the Perigord forest. A hike through the woods takes you there, on a winding path, sometimes difficult but authentic. It runs along the Dronne , bordered by dense forest cover, which makes it a refreshing route during the summer, but less accessible during the autumn rains. This walk revolves around a legend, which is told to you in a discovery booklet, made available by the town hall.
