La Forêt de Liorac Nature Reserves / Parks in Liorac sur Louyre

In the Bergerac region, the Forêt de Liorac runs along the Dordogne river. It is a preserved environment, part of which is classified as a “Regional Nature Reserve”, for the protection of its fauna. A hiking loop starts from Saint-Sauveur and allows you to walk around it, without disturbing the animals. In the forest, you will see surprising cobblestones. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the economy of the region was flourishing, thanks to these cobblestones.
