The Château de l'Herm acquired its notoriety thanks to Eugène Le Roy , the writer having quoted it in his novel which has become a must, Jacquou Le Croquant . It is located in the town of Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin , after the village towards Périgueux. Hidden in the forest, in the middle of the vegetation, it is in ruins, but in the phase of rehabilitation thanks to its new owner. Nicolas de Laage de Meux , who acquired it, hopes to be able to reopen it to the public within 5 or 6 years (renovation began in 2020). It will be a place of culture , supporting artists through theatrical performances, concerts, exhibitions... We can't wait!
