  I would not return! Good: Beautiful old chateau in a very rural setting, friendly staff, nice pool. Dinner was on the terrace as it was warm and had some beautifully presented dishes with one exception (see below). The bad: Whilst the dinner was well presented I found part of a metal pan scourer in my main course & whilst the restaurant removed the charge for some overpriced wine in compensation it should never have happened in the first place. We also stayed in the annex or lodge to the chateau, this was very poor. The bathroom in a bad state & was dirty and wouldn’t even make a 1 star grade. The toilet in particular was bad and in need of a good clean. There is no shower as sux, just a shower head 30cm above the bath. The towels were threadbare to the point of being translucent. As for the bedroom the mattress was very old and the pillows were old cheap things with loose foam particles. I certainly would not rebook this property until it overcomes these points. I didn’t unfortunately complain about the room as we were only there one night and the chateau was full, also with the food problem I couldn’t bring myself to raise this with the extremely charming lady in reception as we checked out They also provide nothing in the room for refreshments, no kettle, water, fridge, glasses or cups

  We had a wonderful 3 days celebrating a big birthday with 35 guests at this Château. The location and country outlook is superb and the interior ambience is also wonderful. Very “old world”and rustic but befitting a magnificent building of its age. The star of the 3 days would have to be the food. Breakfast is fairly average but the dinners on all 3 evenings were top class. Compliments to the chef as the formal sit down dinners had every course perfectly executed and the BBQ/Plancha also had good variety. The pool area is lovely and we used it daily. The pool is large. It is worth commenting on the service. The proprietor, Olivier, himself and several of the other staff (special mention also to the barman and the breakfast service staff) were very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure my needs and the needs of my guests were met. However, sadly this level of service is not noticed across the board and a couple of the women working during the day were a little grumpy and did not have a customer service attitude, as I would expect in an establishment of this class. In addition, the reception, bar and salon area is closed and locked between the hours of 1pm and 4pm and cannot be accessed or used even when the Chateau is booked exclusively. I would understand reception being closed but it would have been nice (and indeed have earned more revenue for the Chateau) had guests been able to have drinks in the afternoon with the bar open. None of this detracted too much from what was an amazing fairytale 3 days. My heartfelt thanks to Olivier and his team for helping make us all feel special while we were your guests. I would recommend a dinner, stay or private event in this chateau to anyone.

  I had a very lovely stay for one night. But it was one of the remarkable memories. Relaxing at the swimming pool, having a gentle walk and had a very enjoyable awesome dinner! Staff are super friendly and helpful. I couldn’t speak French at all but they still pay a very good attention to us and serve with their heart. Merci Merci.
