  Do not trust what is written on the website. The only positive point of the domain remains the responsiveness in collecting the deposit for your reservation. The lodgings are in their original state, the furniture is not recent or even high-end! There are no lampshades on the floor lamps - the bulbs are directly accessible (without the dangerous side of the situation - the lighting remains very particular), the tiles in the bathroom are in poor condition with mold on the ceiling. The beds are worn (mattress not covered by mattress pads - they are yellowed by time and wear). The reception is non-existent: we had the help of Christian to open the door of the gîte (without explanation about the gîte, the activities or any other information necessary for arriving in an unknown place). The dishwasher didn't work at first - oh but what if you just had to pull it out of the cabinet so the water could get through! It added charm to a living room - empty - almost as much as the kitchen drawers which lacked cooking utensils - at 10 it seems ideal! The stoves were not supported by the induction hob. One toilet out of two didn't work - the other didn't lock. The pillows were yellow, and not very "stuffed". Apart from the accommodation, we found a broken trampoline, unmaintained children's games, swimming pool cleaning products in direct access (nice with children in a place open to the public), no exterior light (arriving at night - you aim at your trunk in the light of the headlights). Two garages are available: well no, they are used to store broken furniture, damaged household appliances, etc. The board games are stored in the party room: therefore not accessible when it is used for a family event. All this for a weekend of 3 nights / 10 people including 5 children at €1080! This is really making fun of the world! So I'm going to join some of the comments: RUN AWAY! It's a scam! Nothing you will read on the site corresponds to what you will find: apart from the presence of animals!

  Hello, thank you for taking care of your donkeys. They can't even walk properly because their hooves aren't cut, it's shameful. Not to mention the holes in the path, the exterior is abandoned, the photos are far from reality

  To describe this place: disgusting and insulting. We moved from Canada, paid a deposit plus 1 month for 1700 Euros. In short – to stay 1 night was horrible. BLACK MOLD everywhere and MICE DROPPINGS. Christian (superintendent) said to my husband that he thought the black mold was painted over and was also aware of the mice. 3 kiddie cups only! No ice (couldn’t make a drink!), 2nd entrance door’s lock broken, ¼ roll toilet paper – dispenser on the floor broken, cobwebs and spiders everywhere including built up petrified filth, given a bag of sheets to make our own bed, pillows stunk – 1 white one was brown, light bulbs missing everywhere, not a sectional couch as shown in pictures along with an ancient TV! Bathtub with black mold and grout coming loose. Went to grab a plate for heated up food – top 2 plates stuck together. I can’t make this up and I could go on forever. 1 NIGHT FOR 1700 Euros. This was Dec 7 2024 - LOW SEASON – THEIVERY. The anonymous email response from “Team Domaine des Bories” said they would refund our 850 Euro deposit. I didn’t happen. We have all the pictures to back this review up as we have commenced a lawsuit and are cognizant about defamation. Pictures to follow as they are currently too big of a file at present. We will be posting them. I have strong morals and expect some sort of decency from people running a business.
