The wheels on the bus!

Calling all clubs, companies, travel agents and group of friends. This article is for you! Do you want to organise a trip with your family, co-workers or customers? A trip to discover, relax and enjoy … Have you thought of a coach operator? Here, in the Périgord, the Voyage Rey’s white and red buses roam our countryside, carrying the curious travellers in comfort, safety and elegance! I joined them for a day tour of the Dordogne Valley…Follow me...

Master of the passenger transport

Voyage Rey was not born overnight! In 1920 the Rey family started their passenger transport business. It all started in the beautiful village of Bugue, in the Black Perigord, with a horse carriage. Customers were looking for transportation from the station to the hotels and the current owners grand-father presented himself as a carrier! It was followed by the transport of travellers to restaurants and then the transport of merchandise … And today, it is the number one regional transport company, with 27 vehicles, 30 employees, school transportation services, shuttles and tours. This last one is what I am presenting to you today.

Des bus confortables et modernes

Comfortable and modern buses

The coach operator is not reserved only to the large companies of 40 persons or more (or only for the elderly people…). Voyage Rey offers vehicles of all capacities (from 8 to 70 seats), to best adapt to your needs: a group of friends on holidays in the Périgord? No problem, there is the Vito 8 seater; a handball club playing a game? No problem, go with the sprinter 22 seater. What does not change, it is the quality, comfort, safety, modernity (latest vehicles that respect the legislation in regard to noise pollution and pollution) and qualified drivers, smooth driving with a smile.

Tout le monde est bien dans le bus !

Everybody is comfortable in the bus!

The driver is an essential component for a smooth trip. He drives you around, and sometimes guides you. He knows the best itineraries and he has been trained to manoeuvre their bus in all the situations (and I had great examples during my tour, especially in Castelnaud-la-Chapelle where I was very impressed by the narrow streets used by our huge vehicle). Your driver accompanies you for the whole tour and acts as your guide, it is nice to have a knowledgeable person, to meet up with each stop!

Where are we going?

We can go everywhere! During my tour, we went from the Bugue to La Roque Gageac where we stopped for small boat tour on a gabarre (traditional boat), then a delicious lunch followed by a tour of the Castelnaud-la-Chapelle and the Jardins de Marqueyssac. Customers are picked up at their  otel and brought back to the same place.

Voyage Rey offers stays from 1 to 18 days, in France but also in Europe and abroad. If you choose the services of a travel agent; you could be accompanied by a guide. Some agencies come back many times during the year and companies give them their trust every year! For the historic tours, castles, villages and gardens, it is an ideal solution as it is practical and economical for group travel! Check the website of Voyages Rey to see the circuits on offer in Périgord and contact them to tailor your trip. History, gastronomy, culture, nature? There is so much to do in our region and its surroundings, you won’t be disappointed.
