Anouk and Gilles are not from Périgourdins by origin, they arrived in Dordogne by choice and passion , because they love this little corner of France for its quality of life, the beauty of its nature and its gastronomy . Originally from the Var coast, they wanted to change their pace of life and finally move towards their passion, which made them vibrate: welcoming , receiving and advising .

After two years of research, they discover Les Granges Hautes , a property with a green park of 1 hectare, well located and nestled in nature , with a superb swimming pool and a very good reception potential . They take the plunge and tastefully renovate 5 guest rooms and two gîtes . They themselves stay there and it is essential for them to be close to their guests. Because that's what it is all about: proximity , friendliness and connection !

Les Granges Hautes offers the appeal of 5 recently renovated guest rooms in an old farmhouse made of blond stones. An authentic building with typical Périgourdine architecture. All opening onto the garden, each of the bedrooms is beautifully decorated with taste and simplicity, their little names will make you dream before you even put down your bags (Victoria, Eugenie, Constance, Célestine and the Armance and Léonie suite…).

A little apart in the large park, there are also two small cottages just as neat. They will give you all the comfort and independence you could want.

Once settled in the summer, you will be tempted to go and relax in a large and magnificent swimming pool , surrounded by greenery . Take possession of a lounge chair , for sunbathing or reading in the shade of an umbrella. Take a bracing dip and enjoy the calm of the property , lulled by the singing of birds.

At the end of the day, petanque lovers will be happy to share a friendly moment on the ball field in the park. Unless you prefer to enjoy a cocktail or a craft beer by the pool while waiting for dinner.

The gourmet table d'hôte, or the "gourmet plates" depending on the evening, will fill you with happiness. Anouk and Gilles challenged themselves to make everything homemade from starter to dessert. Even the wine list was created with talent by Gilles, while visiting the cellars of the region. It is a festival of flavors for the taste buds. Anouk puts all his heart into the preparation of gourmet recipes. She cooks fresh vegetables from Gilles' organic vegetable garden and quality products from small local producers.

In fine weather, dinners are served in the garden next to the swimming pool. The desserts are not to be outdone, sweets lovers will be delighted!

In the morning, your hosts will serve you a generous French breakfast, consisting of different breads and pastries, and homemade jams. Each day, Anouk will endeavor to make one of its specialties (lost brioche, white cheese mousse, financier, fresh fruit salad, waffles, etc.).

It is during this privileged moment of calm that they can give you sound advice on the most charming sites to visit in Périgord .

Les Granges Hautes is very well located: a few minutes away is the medieval town of Sarlat . The Dordogne Valley and its castles are only a stone's throw away. Just as close, the Vézère Valley , nicknamed the Valley of Man: there is the legendary Lascaux cave in Montignac and other fascinating sites such as Les Eyzies, Roques Saint-Christophe , the Fortified House of Reignac , the troglodyte village of Madeleine….
