The campers will be delighted to get their pitch (for a tent, caravan or campervan), on the riverside, close to the swimming pool or on the large grass areas well located in a quiet area. Those who like camping, but wish a sounder structure than a tent, can settle in a Canadian tent or a « Lodge Explorer ». These canvas alternatives are ready and waiting for you. Also a good idea, if you do not have any camping equipment, but you still want to enjoy the pleasures of camping.

Mobile home enthusiasts can choose to rent a cottage, dressed in wood with a large terrace: they are all fully equipped and have spacious areas. It is the ideal place to do BBQs, enjoy long evenings and put the world to right or explore the maps of the surroundings to plan the next excursion.

If you like cooking, in the Lodges Explorer, the Canadian tents and the cottages, you will find all the necessary equipment to cook the produce of the Périgord. To treat yourself, when you do not feel like cooking, there is a quality restaurant where the chef cooks great dishes with fresh and local produce every day. All you need for a comfortable and pleasant night before tackling a rich and fully tailored programme, during the day!

Healthy active holidays in the heart of nature

Nature makes Périgord a huge playground. On foot along the Vézère River which boards the campsite, put your trainers on and walk the 8,000 km of marked hiking paths of the department, it is heaven for nature enthusiasts … From the Le Paradis campsite, lots of hiking paths are easily accessible. Either for your morning walk or run, the choice is yours... For example you can head towards the Côte de Jor to admire the viewpoint by passing through the beautiful oak forest; or head towards Sergeac, the village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Plazac or the tops of Tursac.

Do you like cycling? You are in the perfect place! Gé and Ellen Kusters, the owners of the campsite, are mad about two wheels. Mountain bikes, road bikes or electric bikes (all are available for rental on site at special rates), they can advise you on the perfect itineraries to match your level, your wishes, and the kilometres you want to pedal. Do you like challenges? There is a great chance they will come with you, as they are regular cyclists! This region of the Black Perigord is perfect for beautiful excursions, for few hours, half day or the full day, hundreds of kilometres off-roads or beautiful picturesque roads await you.

Do you prefer water? The Vézère River runs along a part of the campsite and offers the flora and fauna, its clear and calm waters. The river is navigable with canoes and kayak (available for rental on site, with equipment and transport to bring you back from downstream), however it is forbidden to use motorboats: it is a date between you and the ducks, the herons and the fishes. From the  ampsite, you can navigate towards Roque-Saint-Christophe, a troglodytic fortress and a cliff that falls

into the Vézère River, there is some astonishingly beautiful scenery. You can carry on up to Tursac, the Eyzies-de-Tayac or even Limeuil and the confluent with the Dordogne River for the bravest. From Montignac, a beautiful circuit takes you for half-day up to the campsite, to see new landscapes and particularly the sumptuous Losse Castle.

The Vézère River offers beautiful scenery all day

At Le Paradis Campsite, the water is king, but not only because of the river. There are 3 large swimming pools, as well as an aquatic space for the children (pool + giant play area, the Splashpad). The 4 pools and play area are outdoors (1 covered and heated outdoor pool), during the low season you may be more attracted by the covered and heated pool, its 6 person hot tub, steam room, sauna and adjacent massage parlour

Perfectly located to discover the Perigord and for excursions

You can probably afford to punctuate your sports activities with a few excursions. For this, there is no need to go very far: from Montignac-Lascaux to Eyzies, the majority of the most beautiful natural, cultural and historical sites of the region are less than 15 minutes away.

In Montignac, visit the Lascaux caves and the Centre International de l’Art Pariétal. A bit further; Le Thot (an animal park in keeping with Lascaux), Losse Castle and its rocky terrace overlooking the Vézère River. Sergeac, its village and its prehistoric site of Castel-Merle, then few steps away are the beautiful village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, the troglodytic and the tree-climbing park of Conquil, followed by La Roque-Saint-Christophe, the Maison Forte de Reignac and its cliff castle, the Préhisto Parc for a walk in the forest to meet our ancestors. In Tursac, the Village de la Madeleine is a not to be missed, only few kilometres away from the Eyzies, the International Prehistoric Pole with its museum, its many restaurants and nature activities.
