A family story and a vacation ideal

In 1992, Johan's parents decided to settle in the Dordogne (a region that, like many, welcomes them every year for their holidays ). They seek a campsite and fall in love with the spacious and green expanses of La Grande Prade, a place where it will be good to live and receive vacationers always in a good mood! Because here, everyone discusses together and jokes, like in a big family.

At Camping La Grande Prade, the aquatic element is king! Do not forget your swimsuit to enjoy the large pool , with its paddling pool with a mushroom waterfall . The older ones like to storm the island in the middle of the pool and get a tan ... The gently sloping beach is conducive to discussions, as is the rounded space with its seats.

You like water, but you prefer to tease the fish ? The Grande Prade offers fishermen the attraction of a sumptuous private fishing pond . Sinuous, lined with trees and small quiet corners, it is deep, long and two pontoons and cabins allow you to picnic , relax and enjoy a moment with family or friends. The animals can even let off steam with their legs freely around!

Every week, the traditional fishing contest is organized: at dawn, we come to install his equipment when the campaign is still silent. We share a little coffee and we do our best to catch the biggest fish ! Here is NoKill, they will all go back to the water. Around 10am, a beautiful Périgourdine tradition awaits you: the snack bar . Johan prepares sausages and installs homemade pâté and drinks, everything is perfect!

Animations for young and old

Sports enthusiasts can go cycling from the campsite, it is a flagship activity in Perigord, there are hundreds of kilometers of trails marked by the County Council, for hiking with family without getting lost. There is also the road bike , very popular and you quickly access the Corrèze, the Sarladais and the Valley of Man . Do you prefer to stay at the campsite? No problem, there are bodybuilding machines (body boomers), to complete your jogging around the pond. Football and volleyball tournaments are organized on the beautiful lawn that adjoins the pond. Every week there is a petanque tournament and believe me, there are people who respond present! During this time, the children do pony rides with the instructors of the Ecuries du Lac, or the gym on the large playground that is reserved for them.

Want to have fun , have fun ? At the bar, there is a billiard table and a pinball machine and to complete the frenzy of fans of the 80s (which I am a member ...) a Babyfoot ! Some of these delicacies are to be found all the day in high season and during the hours of restoration in low season. The cuisine is quality, approved by all to fill the small and big hungers.
