Camping La Ferme de P ...

Do you know the pretty, steep village of Limeuil? Classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, it is located at the confluence of the Vézère river and the Dordogne. It is an ideal place for a vacation between these two valleys, enjoying nature, water, as well as tourist sites. For a perfect family stay, we invite you to discover the Camping de la Ferme de Perdigat, in Limeuil! Let's go ?

The dream of a campsite in Dordogne…

Constance Besse is from Var. Manager of a pharmacy in the port of Sainte-Maxime, she dreams of changing activities and living to the rhythm of camping in the wilderness of western France. Her research is broad, she hesitates with an establishment near Millau in Aveyron and another towards Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in Tarn-et-Garonne. Then ... she arrives in Limeuil and falls under the charm (like all of us!) Of the Périgord Noir , its culture , its authenticity , its gastronomy ... Here it finds fertile ground for its family reconversion project. The Vézère river which flows peacefully at the foot of the campsite appeals to him very much, as does the natural setting of La Ferme de Perdigat . The establishment also offers beautiful ecological values to perpetuate and develop. She is also enthusiastic about the animals which are a true rural identity of the campsite.

La Ferme de Perdigat is a 4-star campsite with very good amenities : 86 spacious and tree-filled pitches, 25 of which are rental ( large mobile homes and very pretty canvas chalets to test the joys of " glamping "). There is also a 54m2 gite which can accommodate 4 people in the old farmhouse in traditional stones, a good idea for who wants the comfort and the services of the campsite at the same time. The surrounding natural environment is magnificent. Nestled at the foot of the hillside of Limeuil , where the Vézère winds, until its confluence with the Dordogne at village level, the La Ferme de Perdigat campsite is lulled by the rustling of poplar leaves . From the start, the holidays begin and in summer, it is a cheerful and festive atmosphere that enlivens evenings such as lazy days, sports or cultural outings!

We have fun all day at Camping la Ferme de Perdigat

Comfortably installed in a mobile home, a canvas tent or in your tent or caravan on a bare pitch , the day begins with a small coffee at the Restaurant le Perdigat (which is open for lunch and dinner, also for non-residents of the campsite).

Then lay your towel on a lounge chair by the heated pool (from mid-April) . In summer, it is hot in Dordogne and you will appreciate the morning shade of the trees around the swimming pool. Go for a swim and play with the kids. Continue with a stroll around the campsite: there are several play areas such as the very large children's area with slide , swing, sandpit… A little further on, there is a large trampoline , ball games areas and a super inflatable structure with slide, which will also appeal to adults…

Teens may prefer to go play in the games room in the old tobacco barn next to the restaurant. There is a pinball machine, table football, an old skill game and video games. Parents, meanwhile, will go to the fitness machines to do some sport, very fashionable and useful for those who manage to keep their good resolutions during the holidays!

Just before lunch, you may see the chef going to harvest vegetables in the large organic vegetable garden, which also runs the stalls of the well-stocked grocery store at the entrance to the campsite. Twenty hens provide fresh eggs that you will also find at the grocery store. La Ferme de Perdigat has several animals, including the mascot Gédéon , a somewhat shy goose who likes to walk around the restaurant all day. She is adorable ! There are also little cats , children's friends and very cute donkeys in a meadow by the river, next to a pasture of sheep and goats .

About the river, do not forget to book your canoe trip, because the Camping de la Ferme de Perdigat has a real canoe kayak base ! We will take you in Land Rover upstream of the campsite and you will descend the river at your own pace until you return to the base at the edge of the Vézère. If you are tired, after your ride on the water, consider booking a Finnish spa session! Right in front of the animal pastures, it's a moment of zen and healing in perspective…

Fishermen can bring their fishing rod and have fun at the campsite's private pond or directly in the Vézère (with a fishing license ).

The Perdigat Restaurant, all homemade!

Hmmmmmmm it's lunch time and a good smell is already coming out of the open kitchen near the bar on the terrace . This afternoon, want to have fun and be away from the stove? So let's eat at Restaurant Le Perdigat ! The menu is made up of Perigord delicacies such as foie gras , duck breast , confit , gizzards , but also local cheeses such as cabécou and Echourgnac hatch . During the summer season, the restaurant offers special evenings such as stuffed piglet , mussels fries or duck breast evening at the BBQ. There is entertainment and every evening it moves!

Here, we cook house , with local products (which we also find at the grocery store). It must be said that the Périgord does not lack good things: vegetables, meat, a little fish, cheese, aromatic herbs and fruits, there is everything you need, just adapt the map ! Come and make your own opinion, on our side, young and old alike loved it.

Ecology at Camping La Ferme de Perdigat

Ecology is at stake for everyone, when you take a vacation in such a beautiful natural setting, it is essential to have levers of action to preserve this enchanting nature!

  • Selective sorting is in place, for campsite managers, but also for customers who are invited to sort their waste . The recyclables go in an identified container (yellow) and a compost is available, which then produces material for the vegetable patch. The animals on the campsite are also a great help to finish off the (very rare, because it's very good) leftovers from the restaurant's plates.
  • There is no chemical in the vegetable garden , which is watered with the recovery of rainwater from the gutters.
  • The rational consumption of fluids and electricity is in place: solar-powered luminaires and LED bulbs, control of water consumption, etc.
